Hi, I’m Eric Prado, a 1995 MAIP alum. My internship was with Porter Novelli, a PR agency, where my assignment was to explore a new thing called the Internet to help determine how it could be used for public relations.

As a first-generation Mexican-American, I have leveraged my biculturalism, entrepreneurial spirit and creative approach to account management to develop integrated ideas that resonate across various targets. It has also allowed me to make seamless transitions to various types of agencies; San Jose Group (Hispanic), DDB (General Market) and DigitasLBi (Digital).

I have led cross-functional pan-agency to deliver strong thinking and consumer insights that have fueled results for my clients.. For example, I created a holiday digital campaign for Meijer that fueled customer engagement and surpassed their business objectives. I worked on a Super Bowl campaign that consumers ranked highly. I helped McDonald’s connect with women as a woman, not just as a mom. I also led new menu testing and launch initiatives for McDonald’s, like McCafe, that have continued to fuel their year over year growth

Today, I am a VP, Account Director, with DigitasLBi on the Sprint account. I lead the development of digital advertising and tools for Sprint.

As a kid from Chicago that attended one of the lowest ranked high schools in the state, whose family had no connections to anyone in advertising and who did not attend a well renowned ad school, I am forever grateful for the doors that MAIP opened for me.
