The 4A's is excited to celebrate the sixth anniversary of The Face of Talent, the industry's premier event to celebrate and engage top diverse talent, with you this August.

The Face of Talent was established in 2011 as a catalyst for agency leaders, and their clients, to demonstrate their commitment to two of the most important issues facing our industry—Talent and Diversity. The multi-day symposium, including the Diversity Leadership Luncheon, attracts over 750 advertising and marketing executives. This series of events is designed to celebrate and showcase over 140 talented diverse college seniors and graduates that comprise the 4A’s Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP) and 4A’s Foundation Scholars.


The Face of Talent also serves as a community-building platform to inspire and retain more than 2,800 MAIP alumni and nearly 400 4A’s Foundation Scholars, who continue to advocate and champion diversity in advertising.

Carl Desir is the Vice President of Talent Initiatives at the 4A’s.  In this position, Carl leverages his experience, as a strategic planner to help the 4A’s to improve the level of efficacy and industry engagement in the areas of talent and education. He focuses on increasing the scale, impact and visibility of the 4A’s Foundation, assessing the 4A’s training portfolio and developing a strategic plan that enable the 4A’s to deliver the best possible education services to our members and the industry.

After graduating from Harvard University and Miami Ad School’s Boot Camp for Account Planning, Carl landed internships at Arnold NY in account management and KBP in account planning.  Since that time Carl has been recognized by our industry for his work as an account planner and strategist at JWT and Translation respectively on brands such as Microsoft Bing, Halls, Coke Zero and Wrigley.  Moreover, for years now, Carl has participated in and/or led many industry diversity and talent initiatives such as MAIP, ADCOLOR®, T.O.R.C.H., Marcus Graham Project, JWT’s Differenter and The One Club Creative Boot Camp for his agency.

Carl exudes a deep passion for advancing diversity and talent in advertising and along with his industry experience and relationships, makes him well suited to ensure that the industry never forgets that is starts with talent of all types.

Carl resides in Brooklyn, NY where he is an avid photographer, beer brewer, a taekwondo master, a husband, a father and a dog owner.
